We get some wonderful pictures and letters from our puppy's new families, here are a few we'd like to share!Dear Greg and Judie, Hi I am just giving you an update on our Cockapoo puppy, "Rocky". Things have been going VERY well with Rocky, he was great his first night here, he didn't cry or whine at all-we were prepared for many sleepless nights! He now sleeps on our 5 year old's bed (in his crate), and in the mornings he will patiently and quietly wait for her to wake up-our daughter often sleeps until 9:00!
Rocky is doing very well with obedience training also, he has excelled in "clicker training" and knows sit, down and stay quite well-without the use of choker collar or leash, although we have yet to go to any formal obedience school. Housetraining is going well also; I usually have him gated in the kitchen during the day and I would occasionally miss his signal (scratching at the door) so therefore, he would have an accident on the floor by the door. I then decided I would train him to ring his own doorbell with his paw when he needs to go out/come in, he learned this in only a few days!! I need to also tell you a funny story related to this: From day one, Rocky gets very upset when his family is out of sight. During the day, while he is gated in the kitchen, I will run down stairs to do laundry, to which he protests LOUDLY! Well, since he has learned to ring his own doorbell, he now realizes that when I leave and he doesn't like it, all he has to do is simply ring his bell, and I will come running back up the stairs. While he sits, waiting with tail wagging by the gait instead of by his door to to outside! You can't get mad because he has the happiest look on his face, I'm sure if he could speak he would say, "good Mom, you came when I rang, now pet me!" Needless to say, when I have house chores to do he now goes into his crate, otherwise I would never get anything done.
We often take Rocky out to socialize with other animals and he always does well, he is usually slightly timid at first but then quickly becomes playful, tail always wagging.
He is also great with our girls, he is outside playing in the snow with them right now.
He has been to the Vet twice for shots and now weighs 9.6 lbs we plan on having him neutered within the next few mos. I am so glad we purchased Rocky from you, it is hard to imagine life without him, everyone that sees him loves him and ask where we got him, and we gladly tell them. I hope you enjoy the pics Thanks, Renee September 2001
Since it will be Oreo's 1 year birthday tomorrow, I just wanted to let you know that we have had a wonderful time with her and she has become such a part of the family. We love her so much! Our daughter got her for a birthday gift last year if you remember and she loves Oreo. They sleep together every night and Oreo misses her terribly now that she has started school again. I don't mind though, because if it was up to me I would claim her as my dog. She is so darn loveable. We got her groomed today so she would look like a pretty girl for her birthday tomorrow. Just thought I would send you a few pictures so you could see that she is in a loving home. The Van Hoecke family September 2002
Hi Judie, Today is Rascal's first birthday .We thought you might like to see what he looks like now. He is still a lot of fun and he is very smart. He is a welcome relief to the elderly and the children of the family. He knows all of his toys by name and knows what we mean when we spell the word WALK.We would like to see a picture of any of his family members if available. We hope all is well with you and that you are having a nice summer. It is almost Rascal's bedtime which he spends mainly at the foot of our bed. Best Wishes, Pat & Ralph Berrett July 2002
Hi Judie and Greg, Thanks so much for bringing Comet (that's what I named her) to Bismarck. Get it?? Haley and Comet? : ) I thought I would send you some pictures of them both. They play so hard, they are exhausted by the end of the day. Thanks again, K. Paulson March 2002
Just wanted to send a picture of Teca Marie. She is now a little over 8 months old and weighs 3 1/2 pounds. She is absolutely adorable and loved very much by her brother Duncan who is a Teripoo and, of course, her mother. Have a great day! D. Savino March 2002
Dear Judie, We are glad to hear that you liked the photo's. Yes, the two pups have names. We named our toy fox "Trixy" and will become my wifes dog. Those two hit it off better than I did. I love that little pup very much and will not take anything away from that but my wife just clicked with the pup. My mom named hers "Inky". She also loves her pup. They are having a ball with that little pup. She was outside today at their house and they took her out. She decided that she wanted to run and have a ball in the grass. She was running her little heart out. My dad had to run a little to catch her as she did not want to come to them. ***smiles*** I would have paid to see that. We are enjoying them greatly. We will continue to send you the photo's. Thanks for the awesome dogs!! VR, Michael & Sandra Feb. 2002
We adopted Tora from you in May of 2001. She is the love of our lives... We received a digital camera for Christmas, so I thought I'd email you some photos of her. She topped out at 6 pounds and LOVES the snow. We recently moved to a new apartment with big, southern exposure windows and she has discovered the joys of sunning herself. Thank you for our wonderful dog! Kelly and John January 2002
Judie, Roxy just came home from the groomer's. Isn't she pretty? Ray & Debbie Feb. 2002
What a bad one I am!!!!! I forgot to attach the most recent pictures. So, here they are. Let me tell you - this dog RULES. We call her "Queen" Abigail. <grin> Gosh... she just is the sweetest, smartest dog ever. We adore her. I'm sure the pictures speak volumes! By the way... she is a real Momma's girl and I like that! Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year to you! Heike December 2001
Hi, Judie. How are you doing? Are you ready for Christmas? I can't believe that Christmas is already here. Pretty scarry. I wanted to send you some photos of our little Reagan taking for Christmas. He is so cute and so good. Loves to get his photo taken. He will sit there as long as you have a camera in front of you. He's a bit of a ham. I have other photos to send you - I'll send later. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and the greatest of New Years. S. Day December 2001
Hello-- I just wanted to write and let you know how much we are enjoying Bandit. He is super smart and so cute. He already knows how to "go outside" by himself, he knows what a "treat" and "walk" are. And he gets all excited and licks his lips when I ask him if he is hungry. He is learning "go bye-bye", although he is not too crazy about the car. He plays like crazy and sleeps like a baby. All in all, he is just excellent. He has had a couple of accidents but is truly sorry. I think that phase of his is life is about over--he is very trustworthy. He likes the vacuum cleaner and runs for the kitchen when he hears someone using the ice maker--he LOVES ice cubes (pieces of them). I am having a hard time getting a good picture of him because he comes to the camera every time I aim it at him!
I am having so much fun with him every day. He has settled into our routine and seems very happy. I'll be in touch.--Cathy December 2001
Well the puppy is in it's new home and we are so happy already. Mandy loves her to death. We had to go shopping as I had not gotten any of the supplies, I wanted Mandy to choose everything for her new friend. She felt very badly about leaving it alone to shop. I wonder what kind of a day she will have at school tomorrow. She will be dreaming of her new puppy all day long. Anyway, I just wanted to send you some pictures right away so you could see how happy Mandy is. Thank you so much! Tina December 2001
