Cockapoos are probably the best known hybrid. A cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle, they do vary considerably in size and color. This is due to the wide variance of size in the Poodles used...anything from a 2 lb. Toy to a 75 lb Standard. The smaller sizes are generally preferred ranging from 10 to 20 lbs. There is a great deal of information to be found on two Cockapoo sites, the North American Cockapoo Registry and Cockapoo Club of America.

This unusual color black and rust "phantom" poodle is our Top Dog when it comes to siring cockapoos. When paired with a parti colored cocker he produces flashy pups in a variety of colors.
